safety
Dragon boating is very safe. The boats are unsinkable, a rescue boat will always be on hand and life-jackets must be worn. A safety briefing is mandatory before we head onto the water for the first time covering what to do in the (rare) event that you end up in the water. Also rare is the boat not capsizing but filling with water. Not a biggie and the safety boat will just tow a boat full of grinning faces back in while the crew hold their paddles above their heads - it's quite a sight! There is no swimming test but you should be able to swim 50 metres. |
